PANAMA VARIETALS COFFEE PROCESSING FACILITY COMPLETED
08.01.2015

In December 2014, we completed our processing facility in Boquete that consists of a mobile washing processor and a covered drying facility with raised drying beds.

The drying facility is set-up to handle the drying for our washed, honey and natural processed beans.  Depending on humidity, the washed beans dry for 1 -2 days, the natural dries for 10 – 14 days with the skin and pulp intact, and the honey where some of the pulp is allowed to dry on the bean for 5 – 6 days.  The dried beans are stored at our onsite storage facility for a two to three month resting period in jute bags before final processing and sorting.  The beans are then packed into 60kg GrainPro bags in Boquete and are ready for shipment.
